Fundraising:
Village holds one major fundraising event per year during the Spring Season. Players are encouraged to reach out to friends and family to bring in funds for ongoing improvements to our fields and facilities. Recent improvements include: new fencing, sod, dugout improvements, sun shades, snack bar renovation, practice facility upgrades, a new scoreboard, and transitioning to a dirt infield for our Coach Pitch Field, which means more games can be played. Players may earn extra hits in our annual Hit-A-Thon and/or additional prizes based on level of fundraising.
Code Of Conduct:
Parents are expected to maintain a positive attitude and be encouraging to all players from both teams. Do not coach from the sidelines- this often conflicts with coaching directions and leads to confusion for the players. Respect coaches and umpires. Do not interact with umpires or coaches from either team during the game.
Direct concerns of managers, assistant coaches, team parents, or scorekeepers should be sent to [email protected]
Teams & Divisions
Village Baseball Little League offers several divisions for players 4-12. We recommend starting players in Quick Ball before moving to the Coach Pitch division. If your player is league age 5 or older and has played one Spring season of Coach Pitch, we recommend they come to evaluations to see if they’re ready for machine pitch (Farm). Most are and it’s a great next step! Village offers the following divisions:
Quickball | Ages 4-5 |
Coach Pitch | Ages 5-6 |
Farm | Ages 6-7 |
Minor B | Ages 7-9 |
Minor A | Ages 8-11 |
Majors | Ages 9-12 |
For a more in depth explanation of our divisions, please visit our FAQ page.
League Age:
The Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child as of August 31 of the current year. This date identifies the “league age” as it relates to a player’s eligibility to participate in any of Village Baseball Little League's divisions of play. Please note league age for fall ball is determined by the actual age of a child as of August 31 of the following year.
Use the Little League Age Calculator to determine your player's "League Age".
The registration system will automatically provide you with the available divisions for your player based on league age. If you feel your child belongs in a different division than assigned, please send an email to [email protected].
How Teams Are Formed:
Evaluations for players league age 6 and older will take place December 6-7. If your player is 5 or older and has played a year of Coach Pitch, we recommend coming to evaluations to see where they’ll fit. After evaluations, Managers and Assistant Coaches will attend drafts for their respective divisions to pick their players.
Volunteer Deposits:
We ask our Village families to fulfill 8 service hours per season, per player.
Upon completion of these hours, you will receive a $100 refund. There are many ways these hours can be completed. Please view our FAQ section of our website for more information or reach out to [email protected]
